Jason analyzed a photo essay from this site, a site full of photo essays addressing contemporary social issues. If you have time and inclination, please link to the photo essay you analyzed so that the next 357 has a wealth of examples to draw on. Be sure to categorize your post as “photo essay.”

A history of covered bridges in Pennsylvania. Underneath the table is a link to a Google Map with the images mapped. This project actually has atleast three components: the website with the photos collected and contextualized, the Google map where they are mapped, and the Flickr Stream where people comment on individual photos and the data about the camera, location, etc. is discussed.

This page is poor webdesign but interesting neighborhood photo essays. The poor design: all the essays on one page, slow to load. The essays have a mix of archival and contemporary photos.
